Inyo County Sheriff's Office Online Concealed Weapon Permit Application

Welcome! This is an official application for a California Concealed Carry Weapon license. You must completely and accurately fill-out this application to be considered for a Concealed Carry Weapon License. Any falsification of the information within this application is a crime and will result in the denial of the applicant’s Concealed Carry Weapon license request.

The cost for a new Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license is $200.00. Applicants will pay a non-refundable $150.00 application fee, and if approved, will be required to pay an additional $50.00 prior to receiving their license. Please note: These costs do not include the $25.00 Live Scan fingerprinting fee or the required training cost as determined by the approved Concealed Weapons Trainer for our agency.
The renewal application fee: $85.00.
The fee for any modification (e.g., change of residence or firearm) to an existing CCW license is $25.00.
The fee for any duplication (e.g., replacement of CCW permit) is $25.00.

Authority

California Penal Code sections 26150 and 26155 provide that a Sheriff of a county or the Chief or other head of a municipal police department of any city, or city and county, may issue a license to carry a pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person (Concealed Carry Weapon license).

You must have written verification from the firearms instructor that you can safely manipulate and fire each weapon listed on the application. The course instructor must be the one approved by the Inyo County Sheriff's Office.

Password Information: In order to comply with CJIS standards we have employed the use of a password complexity monitor. As you enter your password, we will display an indicator of complexity. You will only be able to submit passwords that are sufficiently complex as to be considered 'safe' by CJIS standards.
